Double the Love: Hina Khan Celebrates Valentine’s Day and Rocky’s Birthday

Hina Khan

For Hina Khan, Valentine’s Day is more than just a romantic occasion — it’s also her husband Rocky Jaiswal’s birthday. That makes February 14 a deeply personal and joyful celebration in their home.

The couple, who first met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009, tied the knot in June 2025 after nearly nine years of dating. Reflecting on their journey, Hina calls it “a double celebration of love with the love of my life.”

She shares that while Rocky showers her with affection throughout the year, Valentine’s Day still holds a special charm for her. “There’s this one day when every girl wants to feel special. It may sound childish, but I enjoy celebrating it,” she says with a smile. Since it’s also Rocky’s birthday, Hina makes it her mission to ensure he feels equally cherished.

Rocky, on the other hand, believes love doesn’t need a calendar date. For him, every day is about being close to Hina. “In the beginning, you think life is precious and want to spend as much time as possible together. Later, you realise what makes life precious — and you just want to be around that. For me, that’s her,” he says.

Marriage Brought Them Closer

Hina admits that marriage has changed her perspective in unexpected ways. Before tying the knot, she often emphasized the importance of personal space. However, things evolved naturally.

“Earlier, I would say I need my own space. But after marriage, I feel differently. Now we want to spend more time together,” she explains. The shift, she says, wasn’t forced — it simply came with emotional growth and deeper companionship.

For Rocky, nothing much changed in terms of feelings. “In my head, I have always been married to her,” he says. His commitment remained steady long before the official ceremony.

A Simple, Unplanned Wedding

Despite being one of television’s most recognizable faces, Hina opted for a low-key wedding. There were no extravagant months-long preparations or elaborate setups.

“People saw the décor, the mehendi, the wedding outfit — but very little of it was actually planned,” she reveals. Just days before the ceremony, there were no grand arrangements in place.

Interestingly, her bridal outfit came together unexpectedly. When she met renowned designer Manish Malhotra for an event fitting, he learned about her upcoming wedding and decided to design her outfit. What began as a simple plan to sit on a couch and sign papers gradually transformed into a beautiful celebration as friends and well-wishers stepped in to help.

Rocky laughs while recalling that Hina has portrayed a bride numerous times on screen. “Out of thousands of episodes, she must have been a bride in most of them. So we decided to keep our real wedding simple,” he says.

Together Through Life’s Storms

Their love story has not been without challenges. In 2024, Hina was diagnosed with breast cancer — a life-altering moment that tested their resilience. Through it all, Rocky remained her strongest pillar of support.

He downplays his role, saying, “It’s the most normal thing anybody would do.” But for Hina, his presence meant everything. She speaks about how adversity strengthened their bond rather than weakening it.

“The storms in our life will not determine our love. We are together in good and bad times,” she says firmly.

Their decision to marry after nearly a decade together was rooted in emotional readiness. Hina admits she was the one who finally said, “Let’s do it now.” Rocky, however, had already felt married in spirit.

Today, their story reflects partnership, patience, and unconditional support. Whether it’s celebrating Valentine’s Day, a birthday, or navigating life’s toughest battles, Hina and Rocky continue to prove that love is not just about grand gestures — it’s about standing by each other, every single day.
