Allu Arjun to Collaborate With Aditya Dhar After Dhurandhar 2?

Allu Arjun to team up with Aditya Dhar

Excitement is building across Tollywood and Bollywood as reports suggest that Pan-India superstar Allu Arjun could soon collaborate with filmmaker Aditya Dhar, best known for directing URI: The Surgical Strike and the recent blockbuster Dhurandhar. According to industry buzz, the long-discussed partnership may finally take shape after the release of Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.

Sources quoted by India Glitz indicate that Aditya Dhar has recently shared the concept of a passion project with Allu Arjun, reviving discussions that first began several years ago. While the project is still at a preliminary discussion stage, insiders say both the director and the actor are keen on moving forward if the script aligns with their expectations.

An official announcement is expected only after Dhurandhar 2 completes its theatrical run. The timing appears strategic, as Aditya Dhar is currently enjoying strong momentum following the success of Dhurandhar, while Allu Arjun remains one of the most bankable stars in Indian cinema with an ever-expanding Pan-India fan base.

Interestingly, this potential collaboration is not a new development. Back in 2023, Aditya Dhar reportedly narrated an ambitious story to Allu Arjun. At the time, the project was believed to be connected to The Immortal Ashwatthama, a mythological epic initially planned with Vicky Kaushal. However, the film was shelved due to budget constraints and narrative similarities with Kalki 2898 AD, which explored Karna’s arc in a futuristic setting.

During that period, Aditya Dhar and Allu Arjun were even spotted travelling together, sparking speculation that serious discussions were underway. Though the project did not materialise then, the renewed talks suggest that Dhar has reworked his vision or developed an entirely new script suited specifically to Allu Arjun’s screen persona.

Post-Dhurandhar, Aditya Dhar is reportedly keen to mount a high-octane, research-driven spectacle that blends scale with emotional depth. Industry insiders believe the director aims to craft a film that fully utilises Allu Arjun’s strengths—his commanding screen presence, intense physicality, and unmatched mass appeal—while also delivering a strong narrative capable of resonating with audiences across India.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s professional slate for 2026–2027 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious phases of his career. The actor is currently working on AA22, a sci-fi action thriller directed by Atlee, which is already in production and expected to be mounted on a massive scale. He is also lined up for AA23, a highly anticipated superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, which has already generated tremendous buzz.

In addition, discussions are reportedly ongoing for a potential collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, adding further excitement to Allu Arjun’s upcoming lineup. With multiple high-profile projects in the pipeline, the actor is widely expected to continue his streak of box-office dominance.

If the Aditya Dhar–Allu Arjun collaboration becomes official, it could mark the actor’s third Rs 1,000 crore-plus venture, following the unprecedented success of the Pushpa franchise. Given Dhar’s proven ability to handle large-scale storytelling and Allu Arjun’s Pan-India pull, the project has all the ingredients of a major cinematic event.

For now, fans will have to wait for Dhurandhar 2 to release before clarity emerges. But if industry whispers are anything to go by, this collaboration could be one of the biggest announcements in Indian cinema in the coming months.
